Buying guide
At 1.5 ct a round measures about 7.3 mm, a clear step up from a 1 carat on the hand. Cut quality starts to show more at this size, so check the cut or polish grade and the light-performance photos before you settle on color and clarity.
A carat and a half is the quiet upgrade: visibly bigger than a one carat on the hand, for a modest step up in price.
Elongated shapes like oval and emerald make 1.5 carats look closer to two. If you like step cuts (emerald, asscher), go a grade higher on clarity, as their open facets show inclusions more easily.
Some stones are priced on request. Ask about any of them and our graders in Surat reply personally.
Priced 1.5 carat stones at Culture Carats start at $367, with a median of about $585. D–F color, VS1 or better stones sit around $490–$590.
Compare sizes on the true-scale carat guide, check prices with the price-per-carat chart, or set your stone in a custom ring made in Surat.

Questions
A 1.5 carat round brilliant is about 7.3 to 7.4 mm across, roughly 15% wider than a 1 carat.
Ovals, pears and emerald cuts spread the weight over a longer outline, so they can look close to two carats on the hand.
Emerald and Asscher cuts have open facets that show inclusions, so choose VS1 or better and check the 360° video.
Most carry an independent grading report, usually from IGI, with the report number laser-inscribed on the girdle.
