We cut and grade lab grown diamonds in Surat, India, and send them to customers across the UK, from London and Manchester to Edinburgh and Belfast. Every stone is certified by IGI, laser inscribed with its report number and shipped fully insured. Import duty and VAT are settled at checkout, so nothing is waiting to be paid when your parcel reaches your door.

- Duties and VAT: calculated and paid at checkout. No customs charge on delivery.
- Shipping: fully insured and tracked, signature required.
- Returns: 14 days from delivery on loose stones, and we pay the return shipping.
- Certification: every diamond comes with its IGI report, which you can check on IGI's website.
Why UK buyers are choosing lab grown diamonds
Lab grown diamonds are real diamonds: the same carbon crystal, the same hardness and the same sparkle as a mined stone. The difference is origin and price. For the same size and grades, a lab grown diamond costs a fraction of a mined one, which is why so many UK couples now put that saving towards a larger stone, a better setting or the wedding itself.
If you're still weighing it up, our guide to lab grown vs natural diamonds goes through the differences honestly, including resale value. And if you've been asked whether they're "real", the answer is in are lab grown diamonds real?
Delivery to the UK
Every order ships from our studio in Surat, insured for its full value and tracked door to door. A signature is needed on delivery, so it's worth using an address where someone will be in, or your workplace.

Planning a proposal for a particular date? Tell us before you order and we'll confirm the timing.
Import duty and VAT
Since Brexit, goods sent to the UK from outside the country can attract import VAT and, depending on the item, customs duty. Many overseas jewellers leave that for you to pay to the courier before they'll hand over the parcel, often with a handling fee on top.
We don't work that way. Duties and taxes are calculated and shown at checkout, and they're part of your order total. When the courier arrives, there's nothing to pay. If you return a stone within 14 days, we refund your order total, including those duties and taxes. See our shipping policy and returns policy for the details.
Buying a loose diamond and having it set in the UK
Many of our UK customers buy the diamond from us and have it set by a jeweller they know. It's a good way to get exactly the stone you want and support a local craftsperson. London's Hatton Garden and Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter are full of independent setters, and most towns have a bench jeweller who can set a loose stone.
A few things make it go smoothly:
- Agree the setting first. Your jeweller will want the diamond's exact measurements, which are printed on the IGI report. Send them the report before the stone arrives.
- Check the inscription together. Ask the jeweller to read the report number on the girdle under a loupe when you hand the stone over. It's a simple record that the diamond they set is the one you bought.
- Know about hallmarking. In the UK, precious metal jewellery above certain weights must be hallmarked by an assay office before it's sold as gold, silver or platinum. A UK jeweller making your setting will handle this. It applies to the metal, not the diamond.
- Get your ring size in UK sizes. The UK uses letter sizes (for example, a size L or N), not the US number system. If we're making a custom ring for you, tell us your UK size and we'll convert it.
Prefer us to make the whole piece? Our custom jewellery service sources the stone in Surat, shows you a CAD render for approval and makes the ring to order.
Choosing a lab grown diamond
The questions are the same whether you're in Leeds or Los Angeles: shape, carat, colour, clarity and cut. A few pointers from what we see most UK buyers choose:
- Shape. Round brilliants are the classic, but ovals have become the most popular alternative because they look larger per carat. Emerald cuts suit a cleaner, more architectural style. Browse oval, round and emerald cut lab grown diamonds.
- Colour and clarity. Near-colourless grades (G to H) and VS clarity look clean to the eye in most shapes and leave room in the budget for size. Our 4Cs guide explains where to save and where not to.
- Carat. Because lab grown diamonds cost far less than mined, 1.5 to 2 carats is a realistic budget for many buyers. See what each weight actually looks like in our carat weight guide.
- Certification. Every stone we sell is graded by IGI. If you're comparing with other retailers, our guide to IGI vs GIA explains how the two labs differ.
Fancy something less traditional? Our coloured lab grown diamonds, in pink, blue, yellow and green, cost a tiny fraction of their natural equivalents.

UK delivery and buying FAQs
Will I have to pay customs or VAT when the diamond arrives?
No. Import duties and taxes are calculated at checkout and included in your order total, so there's nothing to pay the courier.
How long does delivery to the UK take?
Ready-to-ship loose diamonds arrive within one week. Custom pieces take 3 to 4 weeks from the moment you approve the design.
Can I return a diamond from the UK?
Yes. Loose diamonds can be returned within 14 days of delivery in the same condition you received them, with the grading report. We arrange and pay for insured return shipping. Custom pieces can't be returned because they're made to order.
Are lab grown diamonds legal to sell as diamonds in the UK?
Yes. They're real diamonds and are sold as lab grown, lab created or laboratory grown, so you always know the origin. Every stone we send comes with an IGI report stating it is laboratory grown.
Can a UK jeweller tell it's lab grown?
Not by eye or with a standard diamond tester. They can read the laser inscription on the girdle and match it to the IGI report, which states the origin.
Do you have a showroom in London?
No. We sell online, directly from Surat, which is one reason our prices are lower. Every stone has real photos and video, and our team will happily shortlist stones or send extra images before you buy.
