Jash Gelani is one of the three partners behind Culture Carats, a lab grown diamond company based in Surat, the city where most of the world's diamonds are cut and polished. Jash has spent three years in the lab grown diamond business and leads marketing and the customer experience: how our stones are listed, photographed and described, and how custom pieces are designed with each customer.
Jash has personally listed every stone in the Culture Carats catalogue, more than 20,000 of them, which is where much of the data in our Journal comes from.

How we write the Journal
Every Journal article is researched, not opinion. Technical claims about grading, growth methods and the market are checked against and linked to their sources, such as GIA, IGI, trade press and published industry analysis. Where we use our own data, we say so and explain how we analysed it. If you spot something that's out of date or wrong, tell us and we'll correct it.
